The time that envelops me becomes softer. The sounds of the trees swaying, the fragrance of the wildflowers— I often do not notice these things.
This is the area that has been sung about as Saki since the age of the Man'yōshū. If you walk along the path and visit the ancient temples,You will surely meet the nostalgic breezes of the Tenpyō era.
About the Saki District
About
What has come to be known as the Saki Road extends westward from Hokkeji and was a route that led to the northern side of Heijō Palace during the Nara period. In this area, there was also a garden called Shōrin-en. It is home to the Saki Tateno Tomb Group, a collection of ancient tombs, and the rich nature and romance of ancient history still breathe life into the area today.
